v1.0.0-rc.1 First release candidate. Connect setup is guided end-to-end; Screen refuses until the target is ready; notifications are branded and actionable. Shipped 5 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Connect-ready wizard — login password → admin prompt → Accessibility, with Open Settings and live detection Screen setup blocker — refuses Screen until the target reports Connect-ready + unlock password + Accessibility; shows a “Finish setup on that Mac” guide Peer readiness heartbeats — connectReady, unlock, and Accessibility flags synced via Cloud so the viewer can gate Screen Branded Notification Center alerts — lime RIG app icon (no Electron atom); titles prefixed with Rig One-tap crash resolution — port clash / deps / DB banners say what to do; tap frees the port (or runs the fix) and restarts Fixed Port extraction — 127.0.0.1:8080 style EADDRINUSE lines resolve to the real port, not 127 Screen auth path — no silent VNC-password fallback that caused “Authentication failed” Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. v1.0.0-beta.99 Passwordless Screen requires the Connect-ready unlock password and an unlocked desktop when possible. Shipped 5 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed Screen auth at lock screen — no more silent VNC-password fallback (that caused “Authentication failed”). Screen grants now require the Connect-ready unlock password (Mac login), try to unlock the console first, and fail with a clear message if the Mac stays locked or Accessibility is missing Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.98 Passwordless Screen uses the Mac login (Connect-ready unlock password), not the VNC display password. Shipped 5 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed Screen “Authentication failed” — macOS Screen Sharing.app authenticates as a Mac user, not with the VNC viewer password. Connect now brokers the console username + Connect-ready unlock password when set. Without that unlock password, Screen asks you to set it instead of stuffing the wrong secret into Keychain Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.97 Screen auth matches macOS’s 8-character VNC password limit. Shipped 4 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed SSO Screen “Authentication failed” — legacy VNC passwords are max 8 chars; older Connect-ready setups stored 24 and Screen Sharing rejected them. Now generate/upload/open with 8 chars, migrate long secrets on the next admin grant, and clear stale Keychain VNC entries for that host before opening Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.96 Passwordless Screen uses the VNC display password correctly — not a Mac user login. Shipped 4 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed SSO Screen auth — Connect grants use the VNC legacy display password with an empty username. Sending the console username made macOS treat it as account login (Authentication failed), even after the grant succeeded Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.95 Screen Connect grants now include the console username so SSO sign-in is complete. Shipped 4 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed SSO Screen username — grant credential upload now sends the Mac console user (not an empty username), so Screen Sharing can complete passwordless sign-in after the device-id header fix in beta.94 Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.91 Connect no longer treats “Cloud online” as “on the overlay,” and Wake stops lying about FileVault. Shipped 4 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed Cloud only ≠ Wake — when a Mac is online in Cloud but missing from this Mac’s overlay, Rig offers Connect (waits + soft rejoin), not Wake Connect overlay wait — up to ~45s for the peer; soft mesh.rejoin on the target (no keyless --reset); clearer “Online in Cloud — not on the overlay yet” error Wake FileVault banner — only when actually at the lock screen, not merely because FileVault is enabled SSO degraded UI — manual Screen Sharing fallback when the grant does not finish (from beta.90 follow-up) Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.90 Connect-ready no longer dies on Apple’s broken kickstart -activate, and the dialog shows this Mac’s real hostname. Shipped 4 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Nothing Fixed Connect-ready kickstart — skips kickstart -activate (Perl crash writing RemoteManagement.launchd under osascript on modern macOS); enables Screen Sharing via launchd marker + configure/restart only Connect-ready title — uses this Mac’s hostname instead of a hard-coded “Studio Mac” label Removed Nothing Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.87 Mesh Screen path fixes: use the LAN path when it works, stop poisoning addresses, stop keyless resets. Shipped 3 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Friendly name — rename in Mesh updates display_name only; mesh hostname / Headscale rename is a separate confirmed step Access setup surfacing — device detail shows when Connect-ready (admin once) is still needed on that Mac Fixed Screen on same LAN — prefers Tailscale CurAddr LAN IP when Screen Sharing answers there; 100.64:5900 often fails while LAN works No Cloud IP clobber — grant address no longer overrides the locally resolved connect host No peer IP on this Mac — Screen heartbeats no longer write the target’s address onto the viewer’s Cloud row Soft rejoin — mesh.rejoin / Mesh toggle no longer runs up --reset without an auth key (that caused “can’t connect to your mesh”) Hostname enroll — strips .local / .localdomain before hyphenating so foo.local does not become foo-local Connect-ready guidance — post-join CTA + devices banner until this Mac is Connect-ready Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.

v1.0.0-beta.86 Friendly mesh names, honest Connect phases, and fail-fast when the overlay peer is missing. Shipped 3 Sept 2026 · Full changelog · Download for Mac Added Friendly name — rename in Mesh updates display_name only; mesh hostname / Headscale rename is a separate confirmed step Access setup surfacing — device detail shows when Connect-ready (admin once) is still needed on that Mac Fixed Connect hang — no longer treats Cloud’s mesh IP as enough when this Mac’s overlay has Peer count 0; Screen fails fast with a clear message instead of waiting forever Hostname mismatch — strip -localdomain / .localdomain when matching peers; match by mesh IP as well as hostname Rejoin flood — one short rejoin wait instead of queuing mesh.rejoin every few seconds Phase copy — connecting UI says waking / rejoining / handing off to Screen Sharing for real, not “handing off” the whole time Posted by Rig when this build hit userig.app/changelog. Feedback welcome in Bugs / Feature ideas — private tickets still go to Support.
