• Screen “Authentication failed” — macOS Screen Sharing.app authenticates as a Mac user, not with the VNC viewer password. Connect now brokers the console username + Connect-ready unlock password when set. Without that unlock password, Screen asks you to set it instead of stuffing the wrong secret into Keychain
